1961FallA fairly late Dunlin was seen 12 Oct. by Avifaunal Club at Salt Lake, Lac qui Parle County and another the same day near Elbow Lake, Grant County. Both were in fall plumage.

1999SpringEarliest date on record: 3/28 Le Sueur JDa fide KB. Otherwise arrived later than usual south and north, with all other reports in May. Peak counts 5/5 Meeker (50) DF, 5/28 Lyon (87) RgS. Higher than usual numbers were also reported 5/21–28 Dakota (max. 35) mob.
1999Summer Spring migrants recorded in six counties; late migrant 6/8 Stearns. Peak count 6/1 St. Louis (20) PS.
1999Fall Only one report before October. Early north 10/9 Polk PS. Early south 9/26 Lyon RgS. Late north 10/31 Cook mob. Late south 11/1 Lyon RgS, 11/3 Rice MF.
2000Spring More observations and higher counts than usual. Reported from 24 south and 12 north counties throughout the state. Early south 4/8 Nobles KE et al., 4/26 Houston KK and Meeker DF. Early north 4/30 Kanabec CM, next seen 5/9 in two counties. Many reports during 5/13–19 in Yellow Medicine, including a record high count 5/17 (450 at Miedd L.) PS, with 141 still present on 5/19 (PC). Other noteworthy counts 5/12 Faribault (125) PS, 5/13 Lyon (113) RgS, 5/17 Big Stone (185) PS.
2000Summer June migrants observed in Marshall, Becker; plus late migrants 6/12 St. Louis PHS, 6/19 Big Stone KJB (both records one adult in alternate plumage).
2000Fall Only north reports: 10/1 Polk PHS, 10/30–31 Aitkin CRM, WEN. Found in eight south counties. High count only 14 on 10/13 in Lac qui Parle BEO. Early south 8/11 Anoka KJB. Late south 11/1 Lac qui Parle BEO, 11/3 Meeker RBJ.

2003Fall Except at L. Byllesby in Dakota County, scarce for the third consecutive fall, especially in the Northwest and along the North Shore of L. Superior, where single birds on one or two dates were typical. Reported from only 14 counties (16 last fall). Early north 9/14 Marshall (1) PHS, JMJ, 10/2 Lake (only one this season) JWL. 2004Summer Spring migrants 6/1 Big Stone (206) PHS, 6/1, 6/6 Lac qui Parle (570 on 6/1) BJU, as well as Douglas, Lac qui Parle, Brown; fall migrants reported in Becker, Big Stone, Yellow Medicine, Lincoln.
2004Fall Relatively scarce for the fourth consecutive fall, especially along the North Shore of L. Superior. Reported from 15 counties (14 last fall, 16 in Fall 2002). Early north 8/21 Traverse (1) PCC, then no reports until October. Early south 8/28 Lac qui Parle (juvenile — rarely found in Minnesota) ph. PHS, JMJ, 9/18 Cottonwood (1) HCT.
