1930SummerAltho~h several Meadowlark1s nests were found only the two in which the observers determined the species will be listed. The only nest of this species, the eastern, was found by Stanley Stein on May 21st at whioh time .it held five eggs.
1931SummerA nest, finished but am.pty, was found by.Alden Risser on Nay.3rd. Another nest, reported by Nari.us Morse, contained siX eggs on Ha.y 4th. A third nest contained six eggs on May 24th (Stanley Stein).
1932SummerA nest with 2 eggs plus 3 Brown-headed Cowbird eggs was found May 16 (Swodenborg).
1933Summer Brackett found a nest nt Robbinsdale on ~my 29th, the contents of which were 2 eggs. Stein nnd the writer saw a. nest near Shakopee on May 26th which contained 5 eggs. Cummings snw young out of the nest o.t Red Wing on Juno 20th.
1934Summer For some strange reason only one nest of this common species was reported. That was found by Jensen and Evans on June 23rd, when it held three eggs.
1935Summer A nest w1th 5 eggs was seen Ma.y 18th iii Anoka County py S\~son. And the University bird class conducted by Dr. Roberts flushed a parent bird from a nest containing 1 egg and 1 small young at New Brighton May 22nd.
1936Summer The only nest reported was found by Dr. and Mrs. Mahle, Dr. Risser, Arnold Erickson, and Ge9rge Rysgaard on May 24th near Frontenac. The nest held two eggs of the native and ~wo of the par&Sitic Brown-headed Cowbird.
1937SummerOn July I6 D. Struthers found a nest of two eggs.
1938SummerOn May I5, near Plainview, Dr. Mahle found a nest and 6 eggs; one egg proved later to be infertile. In Houston County on May 2 I Kenrieth Carlander found a nest of 4 young; several large blue racers were near the nest. On June 24 D. Struthers. found a nest of 4 eggs at Minneapolis.

1998Spring Early south 3/1 (overwintering?) Dakota BSe; migrants began showing up on 3/25 in Rice JLa, and in eight additional counties over the next three days. Early north 3/29 Aitkin WN and Carlton LW, 3/31 Kanabec CM.

2000Spring Reported from 22 south and 11 north counties, mostly in central and eastern regions. No reports from the southwest, and only Douglas in west-central region and Becker (3/26, BK) in northwest. Presumed migrants first reported 3/7 Houston MFo, 3/8 Dakota DBS (south), and 3/18 Aitkin WN, 3/20 Kanabec CM (north).
2000Summer Reported in 29 counties as far west as a line through Beltrami, Stearns, Blue Earth; plus 6/18 Clay (singing at the Bicentennial Prairie) PHS. New nesting record in Olmsted CH.
2000Fall Last observed north on 11/11 Aitkin WEN and Lake (4) JWL, 11/19 St. Louis SS. Reported south through mid-October, but then only 11/8 Dodge RBJ, 11/27 Houston CRM. Most were presumably identified by location, since very few reports indicated how this species was distinguished from Western Meadowlark. Unidentified meadowlarks were seen 11/23 St. Louis KRE and Steele (2) NFT, 11/24 Houston PEJ, DFN.
2001Spring Reported from 24 south and 11 north counties, though none in the Southwest or Northwest, and only Wilkin (5/18, OLJ) in West-central. Possible migrant 3/19 Dodge CRM; many south reports 3/29 – 4/10. Early north (median 3/26) 4/3+ Kanabec CAM, BLA.
2001Summer Reported in 21 counties as far west and north as a line through Blue Earth, Meeker, Aitkin, Lake; also 6/23 Otter Tail SPM, 6/24 Norman PCC, PHS.
2001Fall Post-September observations: 10/2 Dakota ADS, 10/11 Isanti REH and Todd JSK, SDu, 10/14 Anoka JLH, 10/26 Cook RBJ.
2002Spring Reported from 24 south and 9 north counties. No reports from the Southwest or Northwest regions, but seen in Douglas (REH) and Lac qui Parle (SWe) in the West-central region. Arrived south 3/18 Houston MHF, 3/26 Mower RDK, RCK. Early north 4/7 Lake JWL, 4/13 Cass WLB and Kanabec CAM.
2002Summer Seen in 31 counties as far north and west as Otter Tail, and Pope counties.

2003Summer Observed in 24 counties as far north as Wadena, Aitkin, St. Louis and as far west as Wadena, Todd, Meeker, Nicollet, Blue Earth.
2003Fall Only north reports from East-central region: 10/12 Kanabec (33) JMP, 10/14 Pine (15) JMP. October reports south from Hennepin, Mower and Sherburne, then 11/2 McLeod PRH.
2004Spring Reported from 25 south and 8 north counties. Early south 3/24 Rice TFB and Waseca JEZ, 3/25–26 in four counties. Early north 3/23 Pine JMP, 3/26 Cass fide MRN. Only report from Northwest: 4/11 Polk JMJ.
2004Summer Lowest number of reports since 1985: seen in 6 north and 15 south counties; new nesting record in Kanabec JMP.
2004Fall Reported from only two north counties: 8/13 Kanabec (33, ties highest count) JMP, 9/9 (16), 10/12 (29) Pine JMP. Late south 9/12 Wantowan DLB, 9/18 Scott WCM, 10/6 Hennepin WCM, 10/9 Olmsted PWP.

2005Summer Most reports ever: observed in 33 counties in all regions of state.
2005Fall Reported from five north counties (central and eastern regions) through mid-October, then late north 10/30 Pine JMP. High count 9/27 Kanabec (27) JMP. Reported from 10 south counties (central and east regions) through mid-October; still singing 10/9 Sherburne DWK. Late south (no details) 11/1 Olmsted JWH, 11/8 Houston FZL.
2006Spring Reported from 38 south and 16 north counties in all regions. Early south 3/10 Dodge KRV, 3/11 in four more counties. Early north 3/9 Mille Lacs ASc, 3/17, 3/20 Pine JMP. High count 4/24 Sherburne (27) ASc.
2006Summer Reported from 46 counties in all regions of state, including the Southwest: 6/23 Lyon (Sioux Prairie W.M.A.) MCBS, 6/5–6, 6/26 Nobles (Westside Twp.) JWH, BWF, MCBS. New nesting records for Sherburne PLJ and Blue Earth ChH.
