In the Fall Report, I listed three possible reports of subarcticus, only one of which (Olyphant) seemed reasonably certain. Now, however, after seeing photographs of her bird, there is the possibility that it was scalariventris. Many specimens in many museums stand incorrectly under the name subarcticus when they are actually scalariventris. |
