1930SummerThe earliest nest of this species, with young, was found by Marius Morse1 May 11th; the latest, with young ready to leave, by Alden Risser on May 25th.
1931SummerA nest with large young on May 17th (Evans and Risser • The young lef~ the nest at Hyland Lake, June 7th.
1932SummerThe earliest nest was found on Mny 18th (A. c. Rosonwinkel), and the latest on July 7th at Itnsca Park (Horse). They both contained young, and in tho latter nest tho youne were leaving.
1933Summer Seven nests were reported. The first occupied nest was found on Mo.y 1st by Hienenz ncar St. Cloud, but tho contents were unde:ternined. Grines reports a nest with 2 young on tho point of' leaving, found on June 8th in Pennington County. Several occupied nests were reported but were not investigated, The Flicker, 19.3.3 -.36
1934Summer On April 6th Hiemenz found a Hairy excavating in a half-finished nest, but there were no records of occupied nests earlier than May 2oth. On that date a nest full of vociferous young was observed by a party of M.B.C. members including P.isser, Nahle, Upson, Du'loit, Kenneth Car lander and his father, and Evans. The latest nests were reported on June 17th from two localities. On this date a nest with young was found at St. Cloud by Hanson and Hiem..enz, and another nest with young was found by the bird club party at Linwood (see BOB-WHITE for list of members present.).
1935Summer A Hairy seen by Prosser April 24th at Linwood L:ike was excavating tho under side of a horizontal l~~b. On June 7th, young were being fed in the nest. Turner clinibed to the first occupied nest reported, and found, judging by the squotU~ ing from 'Wii;.hin the trunk' 4 or nero Jrcung on Hay 12th.
1936Summer The only two nests reported wore located by Swedonborg. Small young occupied the first nest found on May 20th. On June 2.3rd he found the second nest at Brule River; it hold smo.ll young. 35 -The Flic~, 1936
1937SummerRysgaard found a nest of young at Sturgeon Lake on June 9; on the same day, in Anoka County, Mr. Breckenridge found a nest of young.
1938SummerBob Upson saw adults feeding at Minneapolis on May 10. On May 29, E. D. Swedenborg saw a nest of small young at Minneapolis. Prosser and Swedenborg discovered 2 nests with small young at Lake Vermillion on June 5 and 6.
1940SummerIn Henne­pin Co. on May 30, young were found in a nest about eight feet off the ground by Harrell and Longley. The T. S. Rob­erts Club observed a nest full of young at St. Cloud on June 3·
