1961SpringSeen 6 May by Harding Huber at north end of Lake Traverse. Jan Green reports them for Duluth on 4 and 11 May.
1961FallMiss Mathilda Henkel saw nine in Holden Township, Goodhue County on 10 Oct. Several seen at Heron Lake, Jackson County on 1 Oct. by Avifaunal Club. Fresh post-nuptial plumage. One seen at Salt Lake, Lac qui Parle County on 12 Oct. by R. Janssen and R. Huber. First winter plumage. Another was seen the same day by Brother Theodore near Rothsay, Wilkin County.

1997Fall Unusually widespread in the south during the first half of October, with reports from a total of 17 counties (reported from 15 different south counties by RJ alone!). Late north 9/25 Grant and Traverse RJ, plus 10/4 Wilkin (8) SDM. Late south 10/17 Washington RJ, and 10/18 Fillmore RG.

2000Fall Reported from all regions in the state except northwest and southeast. Three north reports after mid-September, including 10/7 Lake KRE, JWL, and 10/14 Carlton LAW. Twenty-four observations in ten south counties. Early south 9/18 Steele (2) RBJ, 9/25 Dakota (2) TAT. Up to eight birds 10/1–15 in Hennepin (Crow-Hassan Park) SLC.
