1940SummerHarrel and Longley noted an adult bird feeding her young on May 4, at St. Paul.
1946Summerl:'oung in nest, June 2, Washington Co., Longley. This is the first nest reported since 1941.
1961SummerDean Honetschlager reports young in his yard, May Township, Washington County, no date given. Dave Pearson reports young in Anoka County between 20 May and 2 June.

1962FallThis handsome resident of SE Minnesota continues to wander northward and westward across our state. A letter from Lowry Elliott of Milbank, South Dakota, dated December 7, mentions a Red-belly coming to the feeder of A. H. Riss, one mile inside the Minnesota line from South Dakota, and in Lac qui Parle County. Perhaps an even more interesting record was a specimen found dead at Walker, Cass County in mid-November and brought to Mr. H. R. Hanson for identification.

1965Fallusual records; northernmost were 9-25 Stillwater, MIG; 10-9 northern Washington Co, ACR and 10-13 Collegeville, RPR; one exceptional record, a male stayed at Shotley, Bel· trami Co, through 12-17, MG; this surpasses the previous northernmost Minnesota record (to my knowledge) which was a specimen picked up near Cass Lake (specimen is now in Walker Museum). Also compares very interestingly with one seen on Xmas Count near Winnipeg. Red-headed Woodpecke r: latest 10-17 Eyota, FGD; 11-25 Crow Wing Co, LSR and 12-2 Wabasha, DGM. Ye llow-bellied Sapsucker: latest 10-9 Duluth, JCG and 10-13 Collegeville, RPR.

Statewide CBC total of 292 with peak numbers of 42 (Rochester) and 40 (St. Paul NE). In the south and west central regions CBC counts ranged from one to eleven.

King) and St. Louis, two at a Hermantown feeder until mid Dec., (fide L. Erickson). Highest CBC counts in the EC and SE regions (peak of 72 at Rochester) and a statewide total of 31 I.

1999Winter Reported from 51 counties throughout the state as far north as Beltrami (two different birds reported), and the Warren CBC, plus a first county record in Clearwater on the Itasca State Park CBC (†DJo).
