High counts 11/21 St. Louis (1,682, Stony Point) SeM, 11/18 St. Louis (1,180, Stony Point) StK, 11/22 Cook (495, Taconite Harbor) JWL. Only two reports of “Hoary”, both north: 10/31 Marshall (Warren) HHu, 11/24 St. Louis (Sax-Zim Bog) ebd.
2023Winter2820 The recently lumped Redpoll species was seen in all but six north counties, and in 20 south counties. No observations were made in Southwest or any county bordering Iowa. High counts 12/18 St. Louis (1,632, Stony Point) SeM, 12/17 St. Louis (510, Stony Point) StK, 2/4 Aitkin (500, Aitkin) ebd. CBC high counts 12/17 Two Harbors (1,202), 12/31 Isabella (670), 12/30 Fredenberg (315). Hoary subspecies (A. f. exilipes) reported from 12 north counties.
2024Spring275 High counts 3/31 St. Louis (412, Stony Point) SeM, NGi, StK, 3/30 St. Louis (295, W.S.H.C.) SeM, 4/5 St. Louis (249, Park Point) SeM, StK. Late south 4/7 Hennepin (Minnetonka) KBu, TBu, Meeker PKF, 4/14 Hennepin (Old Cedar Ave. Bridge) ebd, 5/8 Sherburne ebd. Late north 5/1 St. Louis (Cook) ebd, 5/5 St. Louis (Park Point) SeM, StK, 5/6, 5/9 Aitkin ebd. Hoary subspecies A. f. exilipes reported from 11 north counties as late as 4/7 Koochiching EvP.
 
 Irruptive winter visitant mostly north and central.
