1961Springwas seen by members of Dr. Warner's ornithology class on 25 April by the Mendota
1966Spring4-29 Marineon- St.-Croix, Washington Co, one bird found DOR on State Hwy 95 by Charles P. Stone and his son, Charles, Jr. The specimen was taken to the Minnesota Museum of Natural History on Minneapolis campus where it is now on display.
1999Spring Reported 5/15–27 Rice (Lower Sakatah L.) CVK, mob (The Loon 71:176-178).
2002Fall Two documented reports, presumably referring to the same individual: 8/11 Dakota (U.S. highway 52, near Hampton) †LWC, and 8/25 Scott (county road 46, just north of county road 2) †DAB. Originally reported (CVK) at the latter location on the 11th.
2003Fall One adult seen 8/18 Rice (near Morristown) †TFB (The Loon 76:108).
2007Spring1 One seen briefly 5/4 Anoka (Fridley, northeast of Moore L.) †AXH, AMH.
2008Fall1 Fifth Minnesota record in past ten years 8/22–28 Watonwan (near Madelia) †MTr, ph. LCa, ph. †JPM, †ADS.
2020Fall2 The first two records since 2008, both possibly involving the same bird, were found 8/16 Pine (Hammond Rd., Finlayson Twp.) †KPJ, 9/6 Carlton (Duesler) ph. †RoK.
2022Fall1 One report of this Accidental species: 8/20 St. Louis (adult, H.R.N.R.) SeM, ph. †FJN, m.ob.
 
 Former summer resident. Twenty-two records since 1900: seven spring, one spring-fall, three summer, ten fall, and one undated. Recorded in three of the last ten years, most recently in 2023. Formerly Accidental
