1930SummerFour nests of this ground nesting species were found, each in a different section of the state. The first was found at Crosby, on May 23rd, by Donald Fischer, and contained four eggs. The other three nests each held three eggs and were found as follows: Ma.y 24th Onamia (the writer; June 6th Anoka County (Gustav Swanson), and July 1st, Shakopee (Ralph Woolsey).
1931SummerOne nest with two young was found July 14th by Ralph Woolsey.
1932SummerA nest with 4 eggs w~s found at Frazee, June 5 (Woolsey). One other nest was seen at Onmnia, May 29, at which time it housed 3 very small young (Swedenborg),
1933Summer Seven nests reported. The first, containing 3 eggs, was found by Swedenborg near Minneapolis on May 14th. Grim.es discovered the last which was found in Pennington County on J\me 15th and held 2 eggs and 2 Brown-headed Cowbird eggs.
1934Summer A nest 11Jith 4 eggs, found May 15th by Hanson and Hiem.enz • vro.s 'tlhe earliest this year. The latest nest '\lras found by Risser on J ly 23rd, when the young were hatching. (be had just omer• ged from the ~gg when the good man arrived, nnd another egg remained yet unhatched.
1935Summer The fellows at Linwood June '1,th flushed birds from 2 nests containing 2 and 4 eggs.
1936Summer The earliest nest was located on May. 12th in Anoka County by W. J. Breckenridge. It held three eggs on this date. Erickson found a nest on June 1oth in Pine County which held four eggs. Another nest found by Erickson on June 18th in Pi."'le County held three young. Young birds were seen out or the nest by V~s. c. E. Peterson at Madison on July 23rd.
1937SummerA grass finch's nest found on May 2 near Plainview, Minn., by Dr. Risser and Dr. Mahle held four eggs. On July 22 Marius Morse found a nest in the Cloquet Valley Forest that held two half-grown young and one egg.
1938SummerA Bay-winged Bunting's nest that held 4 eggs w,as found near Stillwater on May 7 by Kenneth Carlander. Arnold B. Erickson found a nest in Anoka County on May IO chat contained 3 eggs. On May 30, at Minneapolis, Swedenborg located a nest of 2 eggs and 2 young. Berthel and Breckenridge found a nest near Granite Falls that held 4 young about 2 days old, on August 4·
1940SummerG. Rysgaard and Don Sydow found 2 nests in the sand dunes, Anoka Co. One contained I cowbird and the other 3 eggs on May 22. Dr. Lakela reported a nest of 4 eggs for May 27. The latest record was sub­mitted by W. J. Breckenridge and R. M. Berthel, who found a 2 egg nest in Otter­tail 'County on August 3·

1961SummerA nest with two eggs was found by Huber brothers on 1 July near Winona. Nest with three eggs reported by Dean Honetschlager on 5 August in May Township, Washington County.
1962SpringArrived about as usual. One very early arrival seen on March 31 in Sibley Co., Bob Janssen.
