Early migration continues with HORNED LARKS becoming more common. Several RED-TAILED HAWKS and NORTHERN HARRIERS have been observed this week as far north as Mahnomen County. CANADA GEESE, TRUMPETER SWANS, BALD EAGLES, ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS and MOURNING DOVES were reported by several observers also.
TURKEY VULTURES were at the Wetlands, Pines and Prairie Audubon Sanctuary in Polk County this week.
A GOLDEN EAGLE and NORTHERN HARRIER were at the Felton Prairie in Clay County this past weekend.
Other birds reported include NORTHERN CARDINAL, DARK-EYED JUNCO and AMERICAN TREE SPARROW.
