A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was reported by Maria Duane at Murphy Hanrehan Park in Bloomington on October 1st, as was a WINTER WREN.

Oscar Johnson saw a WINTER WREN plus many HERMIT THRUSH in Oak Grove Park in Brooklyn Park on October 2nd. Many WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS and FOX SPARROWS were also present as were a few WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS. The location of the park is about 15 miles south of the town of Marshall, and the bird was seen along the river trail below the camping area. The status of Spotted Towhee in Minnesota is not well known and I would appreciate hearing about any sightings.
