This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, February 27th.

The female BARROW'S GOLDENEYE is still present at the levee near the high school in downtown Fergus Falls, Otter Tail County. It was most recently seen on the 25th.

The VARIED THRUSH is still being seen in Moorhead, Clay County. It can be found on the campus of Minnesota State University in the area between Lommen Hall and the Comstock Memorial Union.

A PRAIRIE FALCON was in Wilkin County on the 25th near the junction of County Roads 30 and 3.

Warren Nelson reported two GREAT GRAY OWLS along Aitkin County Road 18 on the 23rd. One bird was just east of Pietz's Road and the other was at the Hebron Cemetery, about three quarters of a mile farther east. He also reported a flock of over 500 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS in the town of Aitkin.

BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKERS were seen again on the 26th in the Sax-Zim Bog area of St. Louis County along McDavitt Road two miles north of the Sax Road, and two more were about one-half mile up the Blue-Spruce Road from County Road 133.

An adult "Kumlien's" ICELAND GULL and several GLAUCOUS GULLS were on the beach at Canal Park in Duluth on the 23rd.

A NORTHERN HARRIER was seen February 23 by Jackie Potts on her farm in Pine County.

And a female RUSTY BLACKBIRD was reported by Oscar Johnson at the feeding station of the Eastman Nature Center in Elm Creek Park in northern Hennepin County.
