In a year of unprecedented records of Black-necked Stilt in both 
Minnesota and Wisconsin,I recall one of the most noted or notorious 
events from the history of MOU field trips was a mounted specimen of a 
Stilt that was planted.After much debate as to the bird moving or not 
(this was before scopes were in wide use),someone waded out and brought 
back the bird.A more realistic hoax than an Australian bird.
