Smiley Mehan, the owner of the house at the NW corner of 62nd Ave E and
Superior St in Duluth, reported having an ORCHARD ORIOLE in his yard
today around 3:00 pm. Don Kienholz looked for the bird, but could not
relocate it.
This is the house with the jelly and hummingbird feeders that had
several Cape Mays at it during the Hawk Ridge Birdathon. In addition to
several other warbler species, he still has CAPE MAY WARBLERS, a
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, and a BAY-BREASTED WARBLER coming to his
feeders. Birders are welcome to turn into the drive (62nd Ave E) and
view the feeders.
