The members unanimously agreed that there was insufficient evidence to distinguish the bird from a Chimney Swift (Chaetura pelagica) and perhaps this was a molting adult of that species. Mention was made of very brief vocalizations, but the observer did not note which of the swifts in the flock was making them nor were any audio recordings acquired. The observer did not indicate that he was familiar enough with Vaux's Swift vocalizations to make the identification. | Not Accepted | ||||
