1961SpringMany seen on 23 April at Salt Lake by Avifaunal Club. Vireos and Warblers: 34 species reported. Peak influx on second week of May. A. C. Rosenwinkel observed a heavy concentration of warblers in the Twin City area on 10 May. Southerly winds on that day probably accounted for the appearance of two rare warblers, one of which was a new state record.
1961FallAt least ten were seen on 26 Oct. near Rockford, Wright County by A. C. Rosenwinkel. Many seen on 12. Oct. at Salt Lake, Lac qui Parle County by Avifaunal Club members.

2000Spring Reported from nine south counties, including earliest ever on 3/12 Scott ABo, then 4/1 Lincoln DN, 4/8 Dakota TT. Early north (median 4/27) 4/23 Morrison RgS, 4/30 Wilkin NWi. Late south 5/7 Renville (20) KE, 5/28 (ties the latest south) Hennepin SC. Reported from only five north counties, last seen 5/18.
2000Fall Reported from 33 counties in all regions of the state. Early north reports from northeast, beginning 9/22 St. Louis PHS, almost two weeks later than median arrival (9/10). This was the latest north arrival since prior to 1985. Several south reports preceded the north arrivals, including a record-tying 9/3 Rice JGL, and 9/15 Benton HHD. Record high count 600+ on 11/1 in Rock (Battleplain Twp.) ND, in harvested soy bean fields along a 2.5 mile stretch of road. Notable count on 10/21 in Cottonwood (200) BRB (The Loon 73:67). Late north 11/5 Aitkin WEN, 11/9 Cook JJS. Late south 11/9 Jackson BRB, 11/15 Murray ND.
2001Spring Found in only six south and four north counties. Only April report: 4/26 Dakota ADS. Peak count 5/7 Stearns (46 at Albany) KJB, reportedly a record high count for spring.
